Wednesday, July 27 the SEIU Bargaining Team came to a tentative agreement with LVCVA management. After months of bargaining, the Team (pictured) was able to come to terms they felt they could recommend and bring to membership for a vote. Informational meetings and a ratification vote will be held next week (see information below for locations and times).
The tentative agreement, if ratified by members would give LVCVA employees a 3.5% cash bonus this year to be distributed following board approval and a 1.25% across-the-board wage increase in 2012. The cash bonus would be based on base pay, overtime, shift differential, etc. but would not factor-in furlough days. There is no cash bonus for 2012. It is one-time for 2011. The 1.25% across the board wage increase in 2012 is not a cash bonus.
The SEIU Bargaining Team worked very hard to bring members this tentative agreement and will be available to explain its details and its effects.
