It’s baffling, really. The County filed a charge against us saying that we’re not bargaining in good faith, yet they owe us a response on 11 articles we gave to them in bargaining. We have a message for Clark County: It’s nice that you show up promptly, but please show up to work! We’re in full-contract, big-bargaining and we’re taking it seriously. On Thursday, September 15, our bargaining team handed over five more articles to Clark County and we proposed to sign off on eight more.
Clark County’s Response:
“Today I’m not signing anything and I’m not putting anything across.”
What’s Next? More than 130 members showed up to bargaining wearing their “No More Takeaways” Stickers. Participation and Unity are key to our success, but most of all we need all members to stay informed. Talk to a Contract Action Team (CAT) member today about what’s going on in bargaining and most of all:
Come to bargaining, Thursday, October 6 at 9 a.m. at SEIU, 3785 E. Sunset Road (corner of Sandhill).
