Home Health Care Workers Join SEIU Local 1107!

The room was buzzing with excitement mid-day Monday, as home healthcare workers from Addus Healthcare went through the final procedures to make joining SEIU Local 1107 official. Negotiations with the employer will begin in the upcoming weeks.

Patient Care Assistants work tirelessly to provide some of Nevada's most vulnerable citizens with quality care. Now by joining a union, these workers can bargain for a voice on the job, improved wages, health care, and job security.

Addus workers are the first long term care employees to join SEIU Local 1107. They also used the majority sign process to unionize and are a prime example of why passage of the Employee Free Choice legislation is so critical.
