Ensuring Reliable Public Services

Millions of families throughout Nevada depend on public service employees for their safety, health care, education, child care, and other vital services. SEIU NV's public service employees are working with the families we serve, advocates, community leaders and elected officials to win:

• Adequate staffing levels to ensure reliable and accessible services.
• The funding needed to provide education, public safety, and other public services.
• Proper training and equipment so that public service employees can do their jobs right. 

Protecting Our Retirements

It used to be that if you worked hard to support yourself and your family, you could count on retiring with the peace of mind that you could pay your bills, get the health care you need, and avoid being a financial burden on your loved ones.

But today the ideas we had about life after retirement no longer hold true.

A majority of Americans now worry that they will have to delay retiring to afford increased living expenses and health care costs. Public retirement benefits are under constant attack. A growing number of workers say retirement might never be an option.

We need a new retirement system that will keep its promises to America's working families.
