Southern Nevada Health District Ratify Contract! 99% Vote YES!

During these tough economic times, the Southern Nevada Health District Bargaining team has negotiated a strong contract with management! Now, with all their hard work and a true showing of unity, they have overwhelmingly voted YES to ratify their contract. 

Contract highlights include:


• Moving into the Clark County self funded health plan by July 1, 2009. (This will include the retirees.)
• 3% across the board wage increases each year of the contract with retroactive pay back to July 1, 2008.
• 2 step increases for the first year, 1 step increase for the second year.
In the third year employees are also guaranteed a 1 step increase. However, if revenues for property tax allocations and fees exceed fiscal year 2010 in the same categories by 7% or more, the second step increase will be added automatically, retroactive to July 1, 2010.
• Longevity will now be issued to employees upon separation on a prorated basis.
• Bilingual pay has been expanded to be accessible to more employees.
