SEIU Nevada Retirees In Action!
SEIU Nevada Retirees Make a Difference in Our Community
For the first time, retired members of SEIU Nevada are uniting in their union to build a better Nevada, from advocating for affordable health insurance, to protecting retirement security to making a difference in local, state and national elections.
About the Program
SEIU Nevada Retirees are getting involved in everything their union is working on and are becoming an active political force. Retirees will only pay one-third of regular dues, or $6.31 every two weeks, and are strongly encouraged to come to Executive Board meetings and vote in SEIU Nevada elections.
Why Should Retirees Get Involved?
SEIU Nevada members are actively engaged in improving health care delivery, fighting for quality public services and creating a better future for Nevada’s working families. SEIU Nevada retirees have been fighting these same fights, and have a critical stake in the outcome. By working together and with SEIU Nevada active members, retirees can and will make a difference in the future of our state and nation.
What Do SEIU Nevada Retirees Do?
There are many ways SEIU Nevada retirees can advocate for improvements in their community, including:
- Lobby your legislators so they know how proposed policies will effect retired Nevadans;
- Register your friends and neighbors to vote and encourage them to participate;
- Attend SEIU Nevada and other political events and rallies to show that retirees are participating in the debate; and
- Organize your fellow retirees!
