SEIU Nevada Local 1107 Endorses Jacky Rosen for U.S. Senate

Las Vegas – The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Nevada Local 1107 today announced the endorsement of Jacky Rosen to represent Nevada in the United States Senate. The endorsement was announced after SEIU Nevada Local 1107 members participated in a Candidate Forum, where members met with candidates, asked questions, and then made their selection for the candidate they’ll support.

“Jacky Rosen is a leader who understands the struggle of hard-working Nevadans. She is committed to raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour and the right for all workers to organize into a union without employer interference. In Congress, she has stood strong on critical issues that impact working families every day. From protecting key provisions in the Affordable Care Act, to fighting a reckless tax bill that benefits the wealthy and advocating for a pathway to citizenship for immigrant youth, Jacky Rosen is a leader and champion that our members, and working families, can trust in the U.S. Senate,” said Luisa Blue, Trustee of SEIU Nevada Local 1107 and SEIU Executive Vice President.

“In her time as a Congresswoman and now as a U.S. Senate candidate, Jacky Rosen has taken the time to meet with SEIU Nevada Local 1107 members and listen to our concerns about the growing economic and social inequality happening in Nevada and across the country. She shares our vision of building a state and country that gives every Nevadan an opportunity to succeed and thrive,” said Debbie Springer, SEIU Nevada Local 1107 COPE Committee Chair.

“I am humbled to have received the endorsement from the members of SEIU Nevada Local 1107. Nevadans need a strong voice in the U.S. Senate, and I will prioritize building a strong economy with good-paying jobs that ensures hard-working families aren’t left behind,” said Jacky Rosen. “It’s time to stop the attacks on working Nevadans. As U.S. Senator, I will make sure that the voices of working families are heard on the Senate floor.”
