Las Vegas – The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Nevada Local 1107 today announced the endorsement of Steve Sisolak for Governor.
“We need a Governor that will put working families first. Steve Sisolak understands the incredible economic impact of good, union jobs and shares in our commitment to strong unions and economic justice for all,” said Keishe Caruthers, Clark County Child Development Technician.
“Providing quality care for my patients is my priority. Steve Sisolak will work with nurses to strengthen the voice of frontline care providers and has a track record of getting things done. As America’s most trusted profession, nurses are supporting Steve Sisolak because he is standing with us,” said Jazee Rivera, Sunrise Hospital Registered Nurse.
“The SEIU represents the hardworking men and women of Nevada — the kinds of folks who work tirelessly to keep our state thriving and our families healthy,” said Sisolak. “I’m thankful to have the endorsement of SEIU Nevada Local 1107; and they know that as governor, I will always stand by Nevada’s workers.”
“It’s important that we elect a Governor that is ready to raise the standard of living for all hard-working Nevadans. I’m glad that Steve Sisolak is standing with SEIU Nevada Local 1107 members in saying that unions are the solution to raising wages and improving jobs across Nevada,” said Brian Shepherd, Deputy Trustee SEIU Nevada Local 1107.
