Chief of Staff

The position is responsible for driving SEIU Local 1107's high-priority projects and programs consistent with the union's mission and goals. The Chief of Staff's role is critical in the management of the daily operations and activities of the union and will anticipate, identify, and problem-solve challenges. The position supports organizational and leadership development and operationalizes the union's strategic vision across all programs and departments.

Representation Coordinator

The Representation Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Representation and is responsible for the coordination of activities and programs of the Representation Department. They are responsible for supervising contract representatives, temporary staff, assigned consultants, and interns. Additionally, they are responsible for the recruitment, training, discipline/termination of supervised staff.

Communications Specialist

The Communications Specialist will play a vital role in building a powerful program focused on effective, engaging communications strategies that:

  • Informs and mobilizes SEIU Local 1107 members.
  • Amplifies the valuable work of our members to the public through digital and traditional media channels.
  • Positions SEIU Nevada as a leading voice and authority on economic, racial, immigrant, and environmental justice issues in our communities.

The Communications Specialist will primarily focus on delivering timely, frequent publications and digital content to SEIU Nevada members and member leaders, community allies, and elected officials. The position helps develop, manage, and extend a consistent brand for the organization through all work products.

Union Organizer

The role of SEIU Nevada Organizer is to build a workers' organization of motivated, empowered, and mobilized leaders, who strategically act collectively, and powerfully to protect the rights, and improve the quality of the work lives and the care they provide for the community that is Nevada. The Union Organizer provides effective leadership to carry out the goals of the Union, through training and leadership development, new organizing, internal and external organizing, and political action.
