Our 2025 Priorities

Assembly Bill 68 (AB 68) Positive Credit for Rent

Senate Bill 182 (SB 182) Healthcare Staffing Ratios
  • Would place safe patient to staff ratios into law to ensure safe working conditions and better outcomes for hospital patients.
  • SB 182 will save money, save jobs, and save lives.
  • Update: SB 182 passed out of the Senate Health & Human Services on a party line vote of 3-2 with Democratic Senators Doñate, Lange, and Taylor voting yes, and Republican Senators Titus and Stone voting no.
  • Update: SB 182 is likely onto the Senate Finance committee to review the fiscal impact of the bill before being voted on by the entirety of the State Senate.
Senate Bill 183 (SB 183) Child and Family Case Worker Ratios
  • Will establish a ratio for the maximum number of children a case worker may have assigned to them at 30 children to 1 case worker.
  • Update: SB 183 passed out of the Senate Health & Human Services Committee unanimously.
  • Next Steps: SB 183 is sent to the Senate Floor to be voted on by the entire State Senate. This must be done by April 22nd.
Senate Bill 306 (SB 306) No Eject. No Reject.
  • Requires the State of Nevada to place children in proper mental health facilities rather than temporary shelters like Child Haven.
  • Requires any child that is being transferred out of a facility to have a discharge plan with certain requirements.
  • Update: SB 306 passed out of the Senate Health & Human Services Committee unanimously.
